BLACK AND WHITE

PHOTOGRAPHY

This semester, I focused on black and white photography, i love high contrast and wanted to focus on that in my photography classes. I chose this approach because black-and-white photography brings out texture in a way that color sometimes can't. Midway through the semester, I became interested in German surrealist photography, which influenced my later work. I found the surrealist themes interesting and hope to explore them more in future projects. I want to find more unconventional ways to photograph the individual, to make my body of work more expressive and imaginative. I want photos that capture the complexity and uniqueness of each subject I photograph.
